Online admission process for first year honours admission tests at Chittagong University under the academic session 2018-2019 began on Thursday and will continue till October 6.
Vice-chancellor Professor Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury inaugurated the process around 11:00am.
Speaking at the function, Iftakher Uddin said that the university authorities would take high security measures at 12 examination centres the campus. The authorities would also keep a vigil by the close circuit cameras to check all short of irregularities, he added.
From this academic session onwards, Chittagong University would conduct admission tests only under four units — science, business studies, humanities and combined unit — instead of 10 in order to save the expenses of admission seekers,’ the VC said.
This year, the admission tests will be held in October 27-31 under the four units with a total of 4,926 seats. Second time applicants will not be able to take part in the admission tests. Detailed information about the admission tests, registration procedures, fees payment and student eligibility were available on the university website, www.cu.ac.bd.
