Three-day drama fest ends at DU

The three-day Dhaka University Natya Sangsad Natyautsab ended on Tuesday with staging of Telescope staged by an Indian troupe Anandan Theatre at Dhaka University’s TSC auditoriem.
The festival that had earlier featured Kittankhola by Jahangirnagar University and Kaak Charitra by the host troupe Dhaka University Drama Troupe got huge responses from the Dhaka University students and students from different schools, colleges and universities.
A Dhaka College Ashikur Rahman, who watched Kittankhola on Sunday, praised the organisers for arranging the festival that gave him chance to watch a play with friends.
Projna Dasgupta, a development studies department student of DU, expected continuation of such festivals at Dhaka University.
Konok Farzana, a sociology department student of the university, said the festival encouraged her to take part in cultural activities.
Dhaka University Drama Troupe’s general secretary Rafiqul Islam Sabuj said they received astonishing supports from the students and they had planned to hold a bigger festival next year.
The troupe’s president Sanwarul Haque expected more supports from the university authorities to continue activities of the newly formed troupe by overcoming challenges.
