BNP vice-chairmen suggest maximum concession for forging greater unity

Bangladesh Nationalist Party vice-chairmen at a meeting with the party’s top policymakers on Monday suggested maximum concession for forging greater political unity to force the government to hold the 11th parliamentary polls under a neutral government.
The meeting began at BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office at about 7:30pm and lasted for more than two hours. It discussed about greater political unity, movement and 11th parliamentary polls likely to be held in December, meeting sources said.
About greater political unity, a vice-chairman said that they suggested that maximum concession might be given to the small political parties for forming a greater unity for launching simultaneous or united movement on specific issues for holding an inclusive and credible election under a neutral government dissolving the parliament.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Jamiruddin Sircar, Mahbubur Rahman, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Nazrul Islam Khan among others were present at the meeting.
