Police have shown arrested the secretary general of Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samiti, Mozammel Haque Chowdhury, in a case filed under explosives act with Kafrul police station in February 2018.
The samiti’s central committee member Shamsuddin Chowdhury at a news conference divulged the information on Monday.
New Age court correspondent reported police filed a petition with a Dhaka court seeking to show arrested Mozammel in an explosives case with Kafrul police station in February.
In response, metropolitan magistrate Mazharul Islam asked the investigation officer of the case to give his explanation why Mozammel is being shown arrested seven months after filing of the case and set September 13 for next hearing.
