SPs of six dists including Cox’s Bazar transferred

Police superintendents of six districts and 10 other units were transferred on Sunday, according to the home ministry gazette notification.
The home ministry transferred the incumbent Kushtia district superintendent of police SM Mehedi Hasan to Chittagong Metropolitan Police and SM Tanvir Arafat from Dhaka Metropolitan Police was given charge of the bordering district.
Md Hasanuzzaman of Police headquarters was posted to Jhenaidah, replacing Mizanur Rahman, who was posted to CMP.
Police superintendent Ahmar Uzzaman was moved to Khagrachari, replacing Ali Ahmed Khan, who was posted to Industrial Police.
Special Police Superintendent Muhammad Moniruzzaman of Special Branch in Dhaka was made police chief at Thakurgaon, replacing Farhat Ahmed, who would join SB, the notification said.
Incumbent SP Habiganj Bidhan Tripura was transferred to the PHQs while Muhammaad Ullah would join Habiganj.
The DMP’s deputy commissioner AMB Masud Hossain was made Cox’s Bazar police superintendent, replacing AKM Iqbal Hossain, who would join Tourist Police.
Iqbal’s posting was announced amid the report of internal inquiry that found him allowing Yaba sales after those were seized during an operation during his tenure.
Tourist Police’s superintendent Abdur Rahman Khan would join Criminal Investigation Department in Dhaka.
Police Bureau of Investigation’s superintendent Nowroz Hasan Talukdar would join Railway police in Chittagong while police superintendent Nizam Uddin would join 4th Armed Police Battalion in Bogra, replacing Muhammad Abdur Rahim, who would join 6th APBn in Khagrachari, confirmed the notification.
