Jebunnessa Begum, wife of freedom fighter and lawyer Badiul Alam, was laid to rest on Saturday.
Jebunnessa, also mother of honorary consul of Democratic Republic of Congo, died at her Baridhara DOHS residence on Friday.
She was 88.
She left behind seven daughters and two sons.
Her first namaj-e-janaza was held at Baridhara mosque on Friday and the second namajejanaza was held at Chittagong Bahaddarhat mosque on Saturday.
She was laid to rest at a family graveyard at Bahaddarhat after another janaza at Fatenagar Sikdar Bari Jame mosque after Asar prayers on Saturday.
Jebinnessa Begum’s husband Badiul Alam was the president of Chittagong district unit Awami
League during the liberation war and the then president of Chittagong South district Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal.
