DU based bands perform at TSC

Dhaka University-based bands entertained the music lovers performing at a concert held on Thursday at Gaming Zone of Teacher Students Center of DU.

Five Dhaka University-based bands, formed by students of the university, performed at the concert titled ‘Sodium Batir Gaan Porbo -3’, which was organised by present and former students of DU.

The concert began as Pother Dol took the stage. The band rendered two songs Kajol kalo and Chena shohor. Following which, four bands namely Drunk on Tea performed Nostalgia, Shaikh Salekin and his troupe rendered Sukhi Manuser Gaan and No woman cry, Apekkhik rendered Sweety and Onno somoy and Moho rendered Bhober dunia and Delhitey Nizamuddin Auliya.

‘We have been organising a series of concerts to provide a platform for different DU-based bands to play gigs. We are going to organise 12 concerts in total’, coordinator of the event and former DU student F H Yasin Shafi told New Age.

‘Concerts like these give Dhaka University students a chance to showcase their talent. It is such a wonderful experience seeing our fellow students performing on stage. I thank organisers for arranging the event’, Nitika Islam, a student of DU, told New Age.
