Police in a drive arrested five members of banned extremist outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen, Bangladesh from Mirzapur at Sherpur in Bogra early Wednesday.
The identities of the arrestees could not be known yet.
On a tip-off, a team of Detective Branch of police in association with Sherpur Police Station conducted a drive in the area and arrested five JMB men including two of its top leaders around 3:00am, said inspector Santan Chakrawarty of district police (media).
Police also recovered two pistols, ten bullets and three knives from their possession.
The arrestees were taken to DB office, said Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Sherpur Police Station.
