Renowned recitation artistes from different troupes entertained the audience reciting poems penned by leading poets at a programme held on Saturday at Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of Central Public Library.
Artistes recited poems addressing human relationships, culture and other issues at the show, titled ‘Shaptak Ditiya Proas’, which was organised by recitation organisation Harbola as part of its year-long programmes marking its 20th founding anniversary.
Dahlia Ahmed recited Eso Bhalobashi Arekbar and Amra Prostut Achi by Walid Anam, Refugees by Brain Bilston and Ekti Chamar Chatro Phd by Subodh Sarker.
Mili Chowdhury recited Probondho by Rabindranath Tagore, Shill by Satyendranath Dutta and Bedonar Podaboli by Mustafa Mir.
Rafiqul Islam recited Kuri Bochor Porey by Jibanananda Das, Sesh Ghora by Amitabh Dasgupta, Kormo by Sabyasachi Deb and Sawdagar by Kazi Nazrul Islam.
Dr Sahadat Hossain Nipu recited Ei Bangla Mujibmoy by Dr Muhammad Samad, Bottirish Number by Kamal Chowdhury and Bhitorer Chokh by Habibullah Siraji.
Pervez Chowdhury recited Nodi by Jibanananda Das, Moron by Rabindranath Tagore and Dure Jete Hobe by Sujon Barua.
Mehedi Hasan recited Gatanogotik by Sikandar Abu Jafor, Ami Kono Aguntok Noi by Afsan Habib and Ullekhjoggo Smriti by Nirmalendu Goon.
Nazmul Hasan recited Uddastu Char by Asim Saha and others.
