Disaster management and relief minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya said that every student would have to plant a fruit tree as part of his or her social responsibility so that the country could use every inch of the land to produce fruits and crops.
‘Our country can use every inch of its land to produce fruits and crops if each student plants a fruit tree as part of his or her social responsibility,’ he said as the chief guest while addressing the inaugural session of the ‘ten-day fruit and tree fair’ at North and South Matlab upazilas of Chandpur.
‘Bangladesh is now witnessing massive development in every sector of the country… People have started to reap the benefits of that development,’ he said, adding therefore, the people of this country should elect Bangladesh Awami League again in the upcoming election to continue the pace of development initiated by the government led by prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
Chandpur district council chairman Osman Patwari, Matlab north upazila parishad chairman Manjur Ahmed Manju and Matlab south upazila parishad chairman Sirajul Mostafa Talukder, among others, were present on the occasion.
