The Institute of Food Science & Technology’s founding director Syed Fazle Rabbi passed away on Wednesday at the age of 88, said a press release of Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
He left behind his two sons, a daughter and many admirers to mourn his death.
Fazle Rabbi contributed a lot to the research of food science in Bangladesh. He has many innovations and research publications in international arena.
He was an important member of the policymaking team of Bangladesh Food and Nutrition under BCSIR.
The Welfare Association of BCSIR Retired Scientists and Workers expressed condolence over the death.
