A Rohingya man went missing from Balokhali camp under Ukhia police station on Tuesday afternoon.
The missing Myanmar national is Abdur Rahman, 45.
Teknaf police, meanwhile, recovered the body of an unknown person from Hoykong point of the River Naff on Tuesday night about 9:30pm.
Mohammad Rezaul Karim, camp-in-charge of Kutupalong registered camp under Ukhia police, told New Age that the police and Abdur Rahman’s relatives were trying to trace him.
One Rohingya leader master, Mohibullah of Kutupalong camp, however, told New Age that he heard that Abdur Rahman had been missing since Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, locals found the body of a man at North Hoykong point of the River Naff on Wednesday night and informed Teknaf police who recovered the body and send it to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Ranjit Kumar Barua, officer-in-charge of Teknaf police, said that the man was bearded and about 43 to 46 years old.
