Prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi are scheduled for a meeting in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The two leaders will be in the Nepal capital on the same day to attend the fourth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), a seven-nation regional body involving Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand, Bangladesh diplomats in Kathmandu said.
This is likely to be the last meeting between the two leaders before the next general election in Bangladesh expected to be held in the last week of December.
Sheikh Hasina is scheduled for Friday to return home.
