The Rapid Action Battalion arrested four suspected drug peddlers and seized 40,000 Yaba tablets from a courier service office at Dilkusha in Dhaka on Monday.
The arrested are Md Ariful Islam, 22, of Madhya Rampur at Satkania in Chittagong, Md Forkan, 34, of Betagi under Dashmina in Patuakhali, Md Nure Alam Rubel, 31, of Darpat village under Sonargaon in Narayanganj and Md Nayeem Kazi, 27, of Indirar Hat village under Kotwali in Barisal.
RAB-10 Crimes Prevention Company-1 commander Muhammad Mahiuddin Faruqui said that they conducted a drive in the area and arrested the four along with four parcels in the afternoon and seized 40,000 Yaba tablets from four parcels dispatched from Lohagarah in Chittagong.
He said that the yaba tablets were sent from Chittagong in plastic packets containing cream named ‘Vatika Hair Fall Control I Parachute Anti Dandruff Styling Cream’.
