Bangladesh Nationalist Party has provided a 10-point charter of proposals to Gana Forum in its current move to forge greater political unity.
Gana Forum president Kamal Hossain on Sunday night told New Age that they have got the proposals and he was yet to go through the proposals.
He said his party would see and discuss the proposals on Monday.
The proposals of BNP possibly sent to Gana Forum on Saturday, Kamal said.
The 10-points proposals including 'unconditional 'release of all political leaders and activists including BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, holding a participatory, acceptable, free and fair general election, creating acceptable balance of state power, put an end to all political vendetta, establish rule of law and establish good governance in all spheres and check corruption through making effective the institutions concerned, the party sources said.
BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said Gana Forum has given some proposals to BNP and the party also provided them some proposals.
He, however, declined to make any detail to this matter.
BNP has been carrying out negotiations with different political parties outside its alliance for building up a greater political unity mainly release of Khaleda and holding a fair and inclusive parliament poll to be acceptable to all.
The party is mainly communicating with Gana Forum, Bikalpadhara Bangladesh led by AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, Krishak Sramik Janata League of Abdul Kader Siddique, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal of ASM Abdur Rob and Nagarik Okiya led by Mahmudur Rahman Manna.
JSD (Rob) general secretary Abdul Malek Ratan told New Age on Sunday that they are yet to get any such proposals from BNP.
