42 rivers register rise, 47 fall

Water levels at 42 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre have marked rises and 47 stations recorded fall.
Among the 94 monitored water level stations, four are steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Sunday.
All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger levels.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and the Ganges-Padma rivers are in steady state which may continue till 6:00am today.
The River Surma is in steady state and the River Kushiyara of the Upper Meghna basin is in rising trend, which may continue till 6:00am today.
A total of 94 mm rainfall was recorded at Kamalganj and 50 mm at Latu during 24 hours ending at 6:00am on Sunday.
