BNP activist killed in Jessore

An activist of Bangladesh Nationalist Party was stabbed and shot dead by a group of miscreants near Golpata Mosque at Shankarpur in Jessore town on Sunday evening.
The deceased was Moshiar Rahman, 45, son of Takabbar Sheikh of the area.
M Ripon, nephew of the victim, alleged that Dableu, Mamun, Moni and Sumon were among the miscreants who stabbed and shot Moshiar after chasing him out of a grocery shop owned by Iqbal Hossain, another nephew of the victim, around
5:00pm.
Jessore General Hospital medical officer Abdur Rashid told New Age that the victim died soon after he was taken to hospital.
Munir Ahmed Siddiqui, general secretary of BNP’s Jessore town unit, confirmed that Moshiar was a BNP activist.
