The media should play more responsible role to face the risk of climate changes in Bangladesh, said environmental experts and journalist leaders at a report launching programme on Sunday.

Network on Climate Change, Bangladesh organised the report launching and a discussion titled 'Role of media in the climate changes in Bangladesh' at Sagar-Runi auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity.

Bangladesh Press Institute director general Mohammad Shah Alamgir, said that the media can play more and vital role in facing the risks of climate changes in the country.

The NCCB performed the role of media in the climate changes based on reports published on five leading Dhaka-based dailies.

The NCCB president Kawsar Rahman, coordinator Mizanur Rahman Bijoy, journalist leaders Rafiqul Islam Azad, Nikhil Bhadra and others spoke at the programme.
