Selim Al Deen’s birth anniv celebrated at JU

JU drama and dramatics department students perform in Kittonkhola.

A three-day festival marking the 69th birth anniversary of late legendary playwright and dramatist Selim Al Deen ended on Jahangirnagar University campus on Saturday.
Students of drama and dramatics department of JU staged Al Deen’s popular plays Dhaboman and Kittonkhola on the concluding day of the festival. Students also brought out a procession on JU campus.
Students staged Kittonkhola, directed by Ahsan Habib, at the lab room of Zahir Raihan auditorium, while Dhaboman, directed by S M Ettashamul Huda, was staged on the premises of the old arts building on JU campus.
Besides, JU pro-vice chancellor professor Nurul Alam, treasurer Monzurul Huq and theatre personality Nasiruddin Yousuff placed floral wreaths at the playwright’s grave on Saturday morning.
