Bangladesh women’s kabaddi team will begin their 18th Asian Games campaign today when they face
Chinese Taipei at the Garuda Theatre in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The women’s team will be hoping to earn a medal in this edition of the games after they clinched the bronze medal in the last edition of the games in Incheon, South Korea four years back.
They also managed the bronze medal in the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games when the event was introduced for the first time.
Bangladesh men’s kabaddi team will also begin their campaign today with the match against mighty India.
Though the men’s team have won three silver and two bronze medals in their games’ history, they
have failed to earn any medal in the past two editions of the games.
The last time that the men’s team won a medal was way back in the 2006 in Doha when they won the bronze medal.
Bangladesh’s shooters, swimmers and wrestlers will also begin their campaigns today.
