The Anti-Corruption Commission on Tuesday interrogated two former managing directors and a former general manager of Barapukuria Coal Mining Company Ltd over their alleged involvement in misappropriation of 1,44,644 tonnes of coal worth about Tk 230 crore from a coal stock at Barapukuria in Dinajpur.
The three persons are former managing directors Khurshid Hasan and M Anisuzzaman and former general manager Mizanur Rahman.
ACC deputy director M Samsul Islam interrogated the former officers at ACC’s interrogation cell, said ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhatacharjee.
On the day, the ACC also scheduled to question former BCMCL general manager Mir Abdul Matin but he did not appear, the PR officer said.
On July 23, the ACC started its investigation, a day after the Barapukuria coal-fired power plant was shut down amid coal shortage.
