A group of eight Indian cyclists reached here on Saturday night on a solidarity journey to Bangladesh to spread the message of Asia’s first Nobel Prize winner Rabindranath Tagore on world humanity.
The team will also pay rich tributes to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his graveyard in Tungipara during their seven-day tour, Ashok Kumar Sarkar, a member of the visiting group, said.
They will also visit some tourist stops in the country and will spread harmony message and aware people for planting trees to fight the global warming, to stop child marriage as well as to love Bengali language and the culture, he added.
The team is also scheduled to hold view exchange meetings with different quarters and will return home on August 18, he further said.
Meanwhile, Benapole Sargam Music Academy president Mostafiz Selim said that such solidarity trip will not only strengthen the friendship between the people of the two neighbouring countries but also make people interested to save the environment.
