Garments Sramik Front, organised the rally in front of National Press Club, where its president Ahsan Habib Bulbul, said that the garment workers get lower wage and most of the workers could not run their families with the wage that get per month.
He demanded Tk 18,000 as minimum wage for the garment workers in the proposed wage board.
Selim Mahmud, general secretary of the organisation, said that the Eid festival would be observed on August 22 or 23, so the workers should get the festival allowance at least seven days before the festival.
