Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan, for first time in his acting career, will appear in an Indian horror film.
He will be playing the character of a ghost in the upcoming Tollywood film Naqaab directed by Rajib Biswas. Shakib will play double role in the film.
The actor will play both the protagonist Mass and the ghost of his deceased father Shakti in the upcoming film, which is said to be a remake of the Tamil hit film Masu Engira Masilamani.
Tollywood actresses Nusrat Jahan and Sayantika Banerjee will act opposite Shakib Khan in Naqaab.
The film’s trailer, which was released on July 28 on YouTube, has been viewed more than 1,000,000 times.
‘I really enjoyed acting in Naqaab. The plot of the film is atypical and unique. Not only adults but also children will enjoy the film’, Shakib told New Age.
Shakib’s latest film Bhaijaan Elo Re, also a Tollywood film, was released in cinemas across Bangladesh on July 27. Shakib plays double role in the film, which has been produced by Indian production house Eskay Movies and directed by Joydeep Mukharjee. The film is currently running in 109 cinemas.
