Sheikh Muhammad Shaheedullah needs to live long for the welfare of the people and the country, observed politicians, academicians and professionals while addressing a programme in Dhaka to celebrate the 87th anniversary of birth of the visionary organiser and successful entrepreneur on Tuesday.
Biplobider Kotha, a publishing house arranged the programme with presence of Shaheedullah, the convener of the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports at the office of the Communist Party of Bangladesh.
Politicians Manzurul Ahasan Khan, Khlequzaman, Pankaj Bhattacharya, Saiful Huq, Zonayed Saki, Mushrefa Mishu, Ruhin Hossain Prince, publisher Sheikh Rafique, cultural activist Kamal Lohani, academics and member secretary of the national committee Anu Muhmmad and others greeted Shaheedullah with floral wreaths.
Shahedullah was born on July 31 in 1931 and completed his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the then Ahsanullah Engineering College in Dhaka.
He founded an engineering farm New Shaheedullah Associates and earned huge fame in contraction works across the country.
Shaheedullah thanked all for organising the programme.
