Missing Jagannath University student’s body found in Buriganga

The body of a fourth year political science student of Jagannath University, who had gone missing in South Keraniganj on Monday, was found in the River Buriganga today.

The deceased was Ariful Islam, son of Moin Uddin, resident of village Marufdaha under Jibonnagar police station in Chuadanga. Ariful used to reside in Keraniganj.

Assistant proctor of Jagannath University Mostofa Kamal confirmed the news to New Age and said that the body was being taken to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital.

Ariful’s brother had filed a general diary with South Keraniganj police on Monday after Ariful went missing in South Keraniganj.

Ariful went traceless in the area although his bag and belongings were found there.
