Anti-terrorism tribunal receives Holey Artisan attack case documents

An anti-terrorism tribunal in Dhaka on Sunday received documents, including the charge-sheet, of the case filed over the extremist attack at Holey Artisan cafe in the city on July 1, 2016.
Special public prosecutor Golam Sarwar said that the chief metropolitan magistrate court on Thursday ordered the sending of all the documents to the tribunal.
Tribunal judge Mujibur Rahman will deal with the case now.
On July23, the police pressed charges in the Holey Artisan cafe attack case against eight people: Jahangir Alam alias Rajib Gandhi, Rashed alias Rash, Sohel Mafuz Nasrullah, Rakibul Islam Regan, Mizanur Rahman, Hadisur Rahman Sagor, Shariful Islam Khalid and Mamunur Rashid Ripon.
Twenty-two people, including nine Italians, seven Japanese, one Indian, one Bangladeshi-born American and two Bangladeshis, were killed in the terror attack. Five suspects were gunned down along with a restaurant chef while another person died in the custody of security forces.
