4 artists perform in Old Dhaka

Arpita Singha performs near Sadarghat in Old Dhaka on Friday.

Four artists performed at different locations in Old Dhaka on Friday, the second day of the three-day performance art festival titled ‘Shilper Shohor Dhaka’.
The artists namely Joydev Roaja performed at Beauty Boarding, Farah Naz Moon performed at Lalkhuti, Shuvo Shaha performed at Shyambazar and Arpita Singha Lopa performed at Sadarghat.
Joydev covered his face with black colour and later removed the colour to highlight importance of preserving the heritage sites for future generation.
Arpita performed at Sadarghat. She wrapped herself up in a long piece of cloth and walked the through the narrow streets near Sadarghat. She searched for old heritage sites in the area.
Farah Naz performed in front of Lalkuthi at Farashgonj road in Old Dhaka. She searched for hidden objects inside walls.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has organised the performance art
festival to promote the upcoming Asian Art Biennale.
Fifteen artists are participating in the three-day festival highlighting heritage sites of Dhaka.
