Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad returned home on Wednesday after a four-day visit to New Delhi at the invitation of the Indian government.
Ershad along with party secretary general Ruhul Amin Hawlader, presidium members Zia Uddin Ahmed Bablu, Sunil Shuvo Roy and Khaled Akhter arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a flight of Jet Airways around 4:00pm, said a press release.
Senior Jatiya Party leaders received him at the airport.
Party insiders said Ershad had meetings with top Indian government officials and BJP leaders during the visit, and discussed various issues relating to mutual interests of the two countries and the next general election.
Ershad is scheduled to hold a press conference at his Banani office today at 11:00am on his India tour.
