Students of Prachyanat School of Acting and Design staged Mohit Chattopadhyay’s political play Rajrakta on Thursday at National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The play, directed by Pradyut Kumar Ghosh, depicts the story of an unnamed oppressive king. However, the common people rise up in the end and protest against the oppression.

The play shows though the powerful in society abuse power and oppresses the weak, the oppressed always rise up and protest against oppression.

Students of the 34th batch of Prachyanat School of Acting and Design staged the play. Prior to the show, a certificate distribution ceremony was held. Prachyanat students who have successfully completed theatre course were awarded certificates at the ceremony.
