Architect Md BMA Mahfuz Nabin, who went ‘missing’ after leaving his residence at Bhasantek in the capital’s Mirpur on Sunday afternoon, was found in Khalishpur area in Khulna city on early Thursday.
38-year-old Nabin, an employee of Sheltech Ltd at capital’s Kalabagan, was left blindfolded at Khalishpur around 2:30am on Thursday, the victim’s brother-in-law Md Imran Hossain told New Age.
He said that Nabin traced the location and went to his sister’s residence at Daulatpur in Khulna city.
‘The abductors kept him blindfolded the whole time. They threw him out of a vehicle, either a microbus or a private car, and asked him to walk straight and not to look back,’ he said.
‘Nabin reached his sister’s residence around 3:00am with the help of a rickshaw-van peddler. There are marks of injury in his body and he is unable to walk,’ Imran said.
However, Imran could not give any information about the abductors.
In a general diary, lodged with the Bhashantek police in this connection on Monday, the family mentioned that Nabin went missing after he left his Dhamalcoat residence for his Kalabagan office around 12:20pm on Sunday.
Bhasantek police officer-in-charge Sabbir Hossain told New Age that they were informed that Nobin was found in Khulna and that they would interrogate him after his return.
‘If the family wants to take legal action, we will help them,’ he added.
