Kingbadanti pays tribute to Rudra

Kingbadanti Abritti Parishad artistes entertained the audience presenting a poetry production, Ekhono Gaan Ache Jiboner Bhore, featuring poems by Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah at Music and Dance Centre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Saturday.

They presented poems like Batashe Lasher Gandho, Nishabdho, Katha Chilo Subinoy, Harer Ghorkhani, Swapnogulo and others.

Kinbadanti launched its Dhaka branch through the programme, which also featured performances by child artistes of the organisation and seasoned recitation artistes.

Sammilito Sangskritik Jote president Golam Kuddus inaugurated the Dhaka branch of the troupe.

 

Child artistes of Kingbadanti staged a poetry production titled 'Ei Desh Ei Pataka' at the show, while seasoned recitation artistes like Golam Sarwar, Ashraful Alam, Maskur-a-Sattar Kollol, Rafiqul Islam, Abdus Sabur Khan and Faizul Alam Pappu respectively recited Mexican poet Octavio Paz Lozano's Neel Upohar translated by Sunil Gangopadhyay, Brishti penned by Abid Ahsan and Shadarghat Pochutei penned by Nirmalendu Goon, Karna by Sabyasachi, Debotar Crush by Rabindranath Tagore and Ebarei Prothom Tumi by Nirmalendu Goon to the delight of the audience.

Professor Niranjan Adhikary was present as special guest at the event.

Eminent recitation artistes Bhaswar Bandyopadhyay Mir Barkat, Ahsan Ullah Tomal Azharul Islam Roni and others were present at the programme.

Kingbadanti Abritti Parishad is a Khulna-based recitation troupe, which began its journey in 2000 in Khulna city.
