Rajmatganj MFS joined Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at the top of Bangladesh Premier League points table with a 2-1 win over Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra in Sylhet on Friday.
Brothers Union tasted their second win of League when they defeated Uttar Baridhara by identical margin in the other match of the day.
With the win, both Rahmatganj and Jamal now lead the table with 19 points each from equal number of nine matches.
Rahmatganj went ahead in the 12nd minute, thanks to an own goal from Muktijoddha captain Saidul Islam. Muktijoddha restored the parity in the 24th minute through Towhidul Alam’s penalty.
Jatta Mustafa sealed the victory in the 32nd minute for Rahmatganj with another penalty.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian defender Abass Inusah and Haitian forward Augustine Walson scored in either half of the match for Brothers while Kenyan forward Thiago Collins pulled one goal back for Baridhara.
