In Lovely Kathachitra, which is a comedy series, Mamo has enacted the character of a housewife. The series also stars Shahiduzzaman Selim who enacts the character of a businessman living in Old Dhaka.

Besides these two serials, Mamo has enacted diverse characters in around 15 teleplays which are being aired on different television channels. Among the teleplays are Salahuddin Lavlu’s Buker Bhitor Nupur Baje, Shihab Shahin’s Bandhan and Shesh Parjanta, BU Shuvo’s Srabone Bristir Ghonoghota, Chayanika Chowdhury’s Biyer Shari and others.

‘I have enacted diverse characters in many teleplays which are being aired on different television channels as Eid special programmes. Some of the teleplays are pure comedies, while a few revolve around message-oriented stories,’ said Mamo.

The actress said that she has tried to deliver her best performance while enacting the characters in the teleplays.

‘I have tried to deliver my best performance while enacting the characters in the teleplays as I take acting very seriously,’ said Momo, who is playing a lead role in the drama serial Ghare Baire currently broadcasting on Maasranga TV.

Mamo, who has earned acclaim for her silver screen roles in films like Dwaruchini Dwip, Chhuye Dile Mon and Alta Banu, said she loves to work in both TV productions and films.

‘I will act in films if the script and character are to my liking,’ said Mamo, who made her silver screen debut in Tauquir Ahmed’s Dwaruchi Dwip after winning beauty pageant Lux Channel i Superstar in 2006.

Mamo also won national film award in the best actress category for her debut film.

The actress has recently signed a joint-venture film Balighar which will be directed by Kolkata-based director Arindam Sil.
