Popular actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha has enacted diverse characters in 15 teleplays and three seven-episode drama series currently broadcasting on different TV channels as part of their Eid special programmes.
Tisha starrer short series include Abu Hayat Mahmud’s Fair Play, Sagor Jahan’s Mahiner Laal Diary and Masud Sejan’s Charitra Swami.
Banglavision will air Fair Play and Charitra Swami at 08:40 pm and 09:55 pm respectively, while RTV will air Mahiner Laal Diary at 09:45 pm tonight.
Besides, Tisha will be seen in four teleplays including Zamindar Bangsha, Bandhur Stri, Chalche Chalbe and Sugandhi Boarding O Tumi which will be aired on different television channels today.
‘I have played different characters in the teleplays and drama series, among which some are simple comedies and a few revolve around serious stories,’ said Tisha in an interview with New Age.
Abu Hayat Mahmud’s seven-episode drama series Fair Play revolves around supporters of different football teams who argue over silly issues.
Besides Tisha, the serial stars popular actors Zahid Hasan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Abul Hayat, Dilara Zaman, Runa Khan, Shahed Ali and others.
‘As FIFA World Cup began just before Eid-ul-Fitr, I think viewers are really enjoying Fair Play. The serial revolves around supporters of three foorball teams Argentina, Brazil and Germany who argue over silly issues’, said Tisha.
In Sagor Jahan’s seven-episode romantic series Mahiner Laal Diary, Tisha has shared screen with popular actor Mosharraf Karim.
‘Mahiner Laal Diary is a sequel to Sagor Jahan’s earlier directorial ventures Mahiner Neel Toyale, Mahiner Padukajora and Mahiner Onek Sadher Ghora, all of which received good response from viewers. I hope the latest serial will live up to viewers’ expectations,’ said Tisha.
Tisha, who has acted in around 15 Eid special teleplays featuring both comic and serious stories, said she is very selective when it comes to acting in teleplays.
‘I selected the teleplays considering their scripts and makers. I have played different characters in the teleplays,’ said Tisha.
Tisha starrer Eid teleplays include Himel Ashraf’s Kakhan Thambe Kolahol, SA Haq Aliq’s Tomar Majhe Amar Bosobas, Abu Hayat Mahmud’s Taramoner Abhiproyan, Zakaria Shaukhin’s Shohore Natun Premik and others.
Speaking about her upcoming films Tisha said, ‘I have recently enacted the character of a language movement activist in Taquir Ahmed’s upcoming film Phagun Hawa.’
Besides, two more Tisha starrer films- Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Shanibar Bikel and Taher Shipon’s Haludboni- are in post-production stage.
Tisha will travel to the UK and Germany with her filmmaker husband Mostafa Sarwar Farooki to attend two international film festivals where Farooki directed Doob (2017) starring Indian actor Irrfan Khan and Tisha will be screened.
Doob will be screened at London Indian Film Festival on June 24 and later at Munich International Film Festival will run from June 28 to July 7.
