Each of the 16 entertainment TV channels in the country will telecast at least one feature film every day, while some will air even more during their week-long Eid special programmes.
As a result, the number of total films scheduled to be aired during the festival will be over 150.
Most of these films are recently released commercial films starring Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan, who is dominating the local film industry for the past one decade.
Some films also feature other superstars like the late actors Manna and Salman Shah.
The local TV channels are giving importance to screen old feature films during the Eid festivals mainly for two reasons—these films have appeal to a certain class of audience and the channels can buy these films at very cheap rates from the producers, officials of different TV channels said.

ETV will air Bhalo Basha Express at 9:30 am on the 7th day of Eid.

The highest number of films will be aired on ATN Bangla. The channel will air two films every day-one film at 10:30am and another film at 03:00pm-during its 10-day Eid special programmes.
