The state-run BTV and other private TV channels are not giving importance to children’s shows in the Eid-ul-Fitr special programmes which will continue for a week.
The schedules of 18 TV channels show that except for the Duranta TV, a dedicated channel for the children, other TV channels are running maximum one shows for the children.
Even these shows will run during the off-pick hours like early morning or at noon.
One of the most attractive shows will be the eight-episode detective drama series Na Jene Narayanganj, directed by Afzal Hossain. The serial has been adapted from Faridur Reza Sagar’s Chhoto Kaku series.
It will be aired from the Eid eve to the seventh day of the festival at 06:10pm every day.
NTV will telecast a seven-episode animation series Dalimkumar as part of its Eid special programmes for seven consecutive days from Eid day at 08:00am. Written by SM Salauddin and directed by AR Belal, the series stars Tanvir Khan, Tanjin Tisha, SD Tanmoy, Polash, Tania and others.
ETV will air a seven-episode magazine show, Eid Ananda, at 12:00pm every day from the Eid day to seventh day of the Eid.
A similar show will be aired on ATN Bangla at 01:30pm from Eid day.
RTV will air live show of Sisimpur at 10:05am for seven consecutive days beginning from the Eid day while SATV has fixed a slot at 09:05am every day for a week to air shows for children during the Eid festival.
Duranta TV, however, has chalked out week-long Eid special programmes including films, dramas, game shows, magic shows, reality shows and others from the Eid eve.
Among the programmes are Ronger Khelay Shoorer Bhelay, Dushtu Mishti Eid Adda, Golpo Sheshe Ghumer Deshe, Bottle Bhoot and Manush.
Music show Ronger Khelay Shoorer Bhelay will be aired at 05:30pm on Eid day and at the same time for the next four days.
Talk-show Dushtu Mishti Eid Adda will be aired every day at 10:00am during the five day Eid programmes.
Celebrities will tell fairy tales at the five-episode programme Golpo Sheshe Ghumer Deshe which will be aired at 09:00pm during the five-day Eid programmes.
A five-day drama series for children, Bottle Bhoot starring Mamunur Rashid, Jhuna Chowdhury, Azad Abul Kalam, Abdullah Rana and Khalilur Rahman Kaderi, among others, will be aired at 01:30pm every day during the Eid festival.
Another drama series Manush starring Tariq Anam Khan, Intekhab Dinar and others will be aired at 12:30pm every day during the 5-day Eid special programmes.
