Socialist Party of Bangladesh central committee member Zahedul Haque Milu died on Wednesday at Bangabandu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Dhaka.
He was 62.
He sustained critical injuries in a road accident at Ulipur of Kurigram on May 13.
Milu, also the president of Charan Shilpi Goshthi, the cultural wing of the party, was shifted to Dhaka from Rangpur Medical College Hospital and died at Intensive Care Unit of BSMMU around 12:15pm on Wednesday, a party press release said.
Khalequzzaman, general secretary of SPB, expressed deep shock at the death of Milu.
His dead body was kept in front of the party’s central office at 23/ 2, Topkhana Road, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm and party leaders will show their last respect to Milu.
They body would be buried at his native village at Kurigram in Rangpur, the release said.
