Bangladesh Railway has launched special train services to ease the journey of home-bound passengers ahead of Eid-ul-fitr.

New Age staff correspondent reported that on Wednesday, a total of 59 trains, including five special ones, left Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital toward different destination across the country.

A total of 27 trains left the station till 3:00pm.

The rush of passengers was seen in the morning; but it reduced in the afternoon.

Some of the tickets were still available in the counter in the afternoon, ticked counter staffs said.

Passengers had to suffer as some of the trains were delayed.

Of those, Eid special Lalmoni Express was one hour and 40 minutes late, Sunderban Express was 55 minutes late, Dewanganj Express was 45 minutes late and Rajshahi Express was 1 hour and 30 minutes late.
