The Anti-Corruption Commission on Tuesday interrogated chief engineer of Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh Sudhendu Bikash Goswami over his alleged involvement in irregularities in different activities and accumulation of illegal wealth.
An ACC team led by its director Shafiqur Rahman interrogated Sudhendu at the commission’s interrogation cell, said ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee.
He said that the commission officials interrogated the chief engineer about the irregularities of 2015-16 and 2016-17 fiscals for about six hours since 9:30am.
He said that they took his statement over various documents— including projects, procurement, constructions and maintenance costs of CAAB, of the two fiscals.
The ACC official said that the commission initiated the inquiry last year following an allegation that a section of CAAB officials accumulated huge illegal wealth committing irregularities in maintenance, constructions, purchases and fund management.
