Anti-drug drive: Another suspect killed in Sirajganj

Another suspected drug peddler was killed in a reported gunfight with detectives in Raipur Railway station area in Sirajganj Sadar early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Shahin Reza, 35, son of Danesh Sheikh.

Helal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said on a tip-off, a team of DB police conducted the drive in the area around 2:00am.

When the team reached the area, the 'drug peddlers' reportedly opened fire on the law enforcers.

The law enforcers then fired back in self defence, leaving Shahin dead on the spot.

Three policemen were also injured.

Besides, DB police recovered a foreign pistol and 307 Yaba pills from the spot.
