Five IU students to get PM Gold Medal

Five students from different faculties of Islamic University in Kushtia had been selected for University Grants Commission’s Prime Minister Gold Medal for their outstanding academic results in honours examinations, IU registrar office officials said on Sunday morning.

University Grants Commission has selected the students of 2017 academic session.

The award recipient students are — Maksud Iqbal of al-quran and islamic studies department under theology faculty, Bulbul Ahmed of Arabic language and literature department under humanities and social science faculty, SM Nahidul Islam of finance and banking department under business administration faculty, Wazidur Rahman of department of law under law and shariah faculty and Rezwanur Rahman of biotechnology and genetic engineering department under applied science and technology faculty of the university.

IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif told New Age that prime minister Sheikh Hasina would hand over the medals to the students at her office in the upcoming prize giving ceremony.
