Seven seasoned and young singers have lent their voices to a song penned on 2018 FIFA World Cup, which begins from June 14.

The music video titled ‘Jitbe Football’, directed by Tanim Rahman Aungshu, was shot on Wednesday at Sheikh Russel Rolling Skating Complex in the capital.

Singers Momtaz, Asif, Tahsan, Mizan, Shuvo, Kona and Zefar have lent their voices to the song. Though Momtaz, Mizan, Shuvo, Kona and Zefar have performed in the music video of the song, Asif and Tahsan were not present during the shooting.

Asif was arrested on Wednesday in a music piracy case and Tahsan is currently abroad.

The song has been respectively written and composed by Mehedi Ansari and Shuvo, while Emon Chowdhury has arranged the music for the song.

‘Though Bangladesh isn’t participating in the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, the people of this country are very passionate about football. Through the music video we want to express our love of football,’ said Shuvo.

Momtaz and Kona said the song will be a treat for local football fans.

‘Though I am not used to acting in such music videos, I really enjoyed shooting it,’ said Mizan.

‘The music video will be released on the YouTube channel D Rockstar Shuvo by this week. We will also send the video to different TV channels later,’ said Shuvo.
