The Anti-Corruption Commission on Monday summoned chief engineer of Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh Sudhendu Bikash Goswami to interrogate him over alleged irregularities in different activities and accumulation of illegal wealth.
The ACC asked the official to appear before the commission on June 12, said ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee.
He said that the commission also asked the chief engineer to come with some documents of 2015-16 and 2016-17 fiscals.
The documents, including projects, procurement documents, construction and maintenance costs of CAAB, of the two fiscals, the official said.
The commission also asked to provide all the audit reports and allocations in information technology sector in last fiscal, he said.
He also said that ACC assistant directors M Khayrul Haq and M Abdus Salam Molla were appointed to interrogate the CAAB chief engineer.
The ACC official said that the commission initiated the inquiry last year following an allegation that a section of CAAB officials accumulated huge illegal wealth committing irregularities in maintenance, constructions, purchases and fund management.
Sudhendu did not receive his phone when New Age tried to reach him several times for his comment.
