A mobile court on Monday fined ‘Khushbu Biriyani and Restaurant’ in the city’s Gulshan for using textile dyes for colouring Biriyani and also shut down the kitchen of the eatery.
Executive magistrate Sarwar Alam conducted the mobile court along with members of RAB-1 and sanitary inspector Abdus Salam of Dhaka North City Corporation.
During the drive, the mobile court found that textile dyes was being used for colour in cooking Biriyani in the kitchen of ‘Khushbu Biriyani and Restaurant’.
located at Road no-90 in Gulshan. Cooked Biriyani was supplied to its two branches in Gulshan, said executive magistrate Sarwar Alam.
Besides, the mobile court also fined ‘Kosturi Restaurant’ Tk 75,000 for unhygienic environment inside the restaurant.
The mobile court also warned the eatery at Gulshan-2 for dirty environment inside the restaurant and gave three days times to improve its environment. Five days ago, same mobile court fined the restaurant Tk 2 lakh for its unhygienic environment, executive magistrate Sarwar Alam said.
