Bangladesh is likely to seek stronger support from Japan to deal with Rohingya crisis and find its early solution.
Foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali will raise Rohingya issue, among other bilateral and international issues, during his Japan visit, a diplomatic source said.
Minister Ali will pay an official working visit to Japan from May 13 to 16 at the invitation of Japanese foreign affairs minister Taro Kono.
On this occasion, Taro Kono will hold a foreign ministers’ meeting followed by a dinner with minister Ali, said the Japanese foreign ministry on Friday.
Minister Ali’s visit to Japan is expected to further deepen the bilateral relations between Japan and Bangladesh, it said.
