The online application process for admission in Class XI is set to begin on May 13.
Students who passed Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations will be able to collect and submit admission form from May 13 to May 24 in the first phase, said college admission policy 2018, circulated on Tuesday.
The first phase of the merit list will be published on June 10, said the guideline finalised by secondary and higher education division secretary Sohrab Hossain.
Admission form distribution for the second phase will take place on June 19 and 20 and the merit list will be published on June 21.
Admission form distribution for the third phase will take place on June 24 and the merit list will be published on June 25. As per the guideline, the admission seekers will be able to apply through online by paying Tk 150 for up to 10 colleges.
The students, who passed their SSC exams in 2016, 2017 and 2018, will be allowed to apply for admission in Class XI.
This year, the government fixed college admission fee for each student Tk 5,000 in the capital’s colleges, which are receiving monthly pay order or MPO from government and Tk 9,000 for colleges which are not receiving it. No college will be allowed to collect more than Tk 3000 as development fee.
The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations were published on Sunday. This year 15,76,104 of the 20,26,574 examinees passed the SSC and equivalent examinations.
The combined pass rate stood 77.77 per cent, a 2.58 percentage-point decrease from 80.35 in 2017.
