Two killed in Rajshahi accidents

At least two people were killed in two road accidents in Rajshahi.
The accidents took place at Kashiyadanga upazila and Puthia upazila of the district.
The deceased were identified as Abul Kalam, 70, resident of village Pashchim Baliya of Paba upazila in Rajshahi, and Nasir Uddin, 40, resident of village Rosulpur of Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj.
Kashiyadanga police officer-in-charge Rabiul Islam said that a truck hit Kalam while he was going to a local market through Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj road riding a bicycle, leaving him seriously injured.
Local people took Kalam to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.
Shibpur highway police sub-inspector Mustafizur Rahman said that Nasir was standing in front of a truck on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway and another moving truck hit the standing truck and Nasir, leaving him dead on the spot.
