Bangladesh’s Sajib Ali and Zamal Hossain Mollah put some brilliant effort in the second round of the 2nd Asian Development Tour bti Open as both the golfers reduced the gap with Kazuki Higa of Japan who maintained his solo lead with 12-under-par 132 on Wednesday.
Both Sajib and Zamal finished their second day’s game with a total earning of eight-under-par 136, still four behind of Higa, who finished the second day with two-under-par 70.
Earlier on the first day, Higa put a tremendous performance to finish with a massive 10-under-par 62 but he was unable to repeat the form hitting three birdies against one bogey on the second day.
Sajib, who started the second round with three-under-par 69, hit five birdies in the first nine-hole and completed the back nine-hole without conceding any bogey.
Zamal, who started the day with four-under-par 68, hit seven birdies but conceded three bogeys that kept him in the title race.
Overnight second position holder Swedish golfer Malcolm Kokocinski finished fourth with seven-under-par 137 while John Catlin of the USA and Miguel Carballo of Argentina shared the fifth position with six-under-par 138.
Two-time Asian Tour winner Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman shared the seventh position with two other golfers with five-under-par 139.
