3 ‘Ansar Al Islam members’ held

The Rapid Action Battalion, in a drive, arrested three members of banned extremist outfit Ansar Al Islam in Belpukur area of Rajshahi city early Monday.
The arrested were Md Raju Ahmmed, 24, son of Md Abu Bakar Siddiq, Md Farhad Hossain, 30, son of Md Aktar Ali and Md Jahangir Alam, 36, son of Akkas Ali, residents of village Jamira under Belpukur thana.
A team of RAB-05 conducted a drive and arrested the men along with five books, three leaflets propagating extremism, four mobile phone sets, SIM cards, memory cards and two identity cards, said a RAB press release.
